TypeRight Keyboard — Privacy Policy

Developer: SY5TEM N3XT  ·  App: TypeRight Keyboard  ·  Package: com.sy5temnext.typeright  ·  Effective Date: June 15, 2026  ·  Last Updated: June 20, 2026

The short version: TypeRight does not log, store, transmit, or share your keystrokes. Everything you type stays on your device. The only time any text leaves your device is when YOU manually trigger an AI feature — and it goes directly to your own OpenAI account, not to us. TypeRight is free and supported by banner and native ads served by Google AdMob.

1. WHO WE ARE

TypeRight Keyboard is developed and published by SY5TEM N3XT. This Privacy Policy describes how TypeRight handles your information. By installing and using TypeRight, you agree to this policy.

2. WHAT TYPERIGHT DOES NOT DO — KEYBOARD DATA

TypeRight does NOT:

TypeRight is an input method editor (IME) that runs entirely on your device. Your keystrokes are processed locally to render keys, apply autocorrect, and provide spelling suggestions. None of this processing leaves your phone.

AI is disabled automatically on password and secure input fields. When TypeRight detects a password field, PIN field, or any field marked secure, it disables all AI features for that session. No text from secure fields is ever processed by AI or transmitted anywhere.

3. DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE (LOCAL ONLY)

The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to SY5TEM N3XT:

4. AI FEATURES — THIRD-PARTY DATA SHARING (OPENAI)

The only situation in which text from your device is transmitted externally is when you manually trigger an AI feature. All AI communication goes directly to OpenAI — never through SY5TEM N3XT servers.

TypeRight offers optional AI-powered features powered by OpenAI. These features require you to create your own OpenAI account and provide your own API key. If no API key is set, no AI features function and no data is sent to OpenAI.

AI Reply and AI Rewrite (from keyboard)

Long-press the A key on the TypeRight keyboard to open the AI action bar. Tapping REPLY sends the text you are replying to (from your current field) to OpenAI to generate a reply. Tapping REWRITE sends the text you have typed in the current field to OpenAI to generate a rewritten version. Both require the AI Reply/Rewrite API key. You initiate this manually every time — nothing is sent automatically.

AI Reply (from text selection menu)

TypeRight also appears as "TypeRight AI Reply" in the text selection popup of other apps. When you select text in any app and tap this option, the selected text is sent to OpenAI to generate a reply. This uses the same AI Reply/Rewrite API key. You must tap the option explicitly — it never activates automatically.

NPUT Chat

NPUT is a full AI chat assistant built into TypeRight. When you send a message in NPUT, your conversation history and your NPUT memory (stored name and personal facts) are included in the request sent to OpenAI's API to generate a response. This uses the NPUT API key. This only occurs when you actively send a message.

NPUT Reminders

When you ask NPUT to set a reminder, TypeRight sends two requests to OpenAI: (1) to parse your natural language into a scheduled time, and (2) to generate personalized alert content (a fact, a tip, and a personal note related to your reminder topic). These are one-time calls at the time you set the reminder. The alarm itself fires entirely on-device — no data is sent to OpenAI when the alarm fires.

Important: Your API keys and any text sent to OpenAI go directly from your device to OpenAI's servers. SY5TEM N3XT does not act as a proxy, does not receive this data, and does not store it. Your use of OpenAI is subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Any charges incurred with OpenAI are between you and OpenAI.

5. ADVERTISING — GOOGLE ADMOB

TypeRight is a free app supported by advertisements served by Google AdMob. Ads appear in two places:

AdMob may collect and use certain data to serve relevant ads, including device identifiers (Advertising ID), general device information (model, OS version), coarse location (if permitted by your device settings), and ad interaction data (impressions, clicks).

Where required by law (such as in the EU/EEA under GDPR, or the UK), TypeRight displays a consent dialog before loading ads. Your consent choices are respected and managed by the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK.

TypeRight does not share your typed text, keystrokes, or personal information with AdMob. AdMob's data collection is limited to what the AdMob SDK collects independently. See Google's Privacy Policy for full details.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time in your Android device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.

6. PERMISSIONS USED AND WHY

TypeRight does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos, files, or any other sensitive device resource beyond what is listed above.

7. DATA COLLECTED BY SY5TEM N3XT

SY5TEM N3XT collects no personal data from TypeRight users.

We do not use analytics SDKs, crash reporting services, or any tracking tools that report data back to us. The only third-party SDKs in the app are OpenAI (user-triggered, BYOK), Google AdMob (advertising), and Google UMP (ad consent management). All three are described in full above.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

TypeRight is a general-purpose keyboard application not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

The optional AI features involve communication with OpenAI, a third-party service. Users under 18 must obtain parental or guardian permission before using TypeRight's AI features and before creating an OpenAI account or entering an API key. TypeRight's in-app disclaimer requires acknowledgment of this requirement before the API key field is unlocked.

If you believe your child under 13 has used AI features without permission, contact us at sy5temn3xt@proton.me.

9. SECURITY

TypeRight stores all local data in your device's private application storage, protected by Android's built-in sandboxing. No other application can access TypeRight's stored data unless your device is rooted.

All communication with OpenAI's API uses HTTPS (TLS) encryption. SY5TEM N3XT never receives, handles, or stores your API keys or any text you send to OpenAI.

10. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

All data stored by TypeRight (clipboard history, personal dictionary, NPUT memory, NPUT reminders, emoji frequency, settings, API keys) exists only on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

Because SY5TEM N3XT collects no data, there is no data held by us to request deletion of.

11. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

12. YOUR RIGHTS

Since SY5TEM N3XT does not collect or store any personal data, traditional data subject rights apply only to your local device data — which you fully control and can delete by uninstalling the app.

For data shared with OpenAI through AI features, refer to OpenAI's Privacy Policy and exercise your rights directly with OpenAI.

For data collected by AdMob, refer to Google's Privacy Policy or adjust your device's ad personalization settings.

13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of TypeRight after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
